You can see the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE almost anywhere...
One way is to follow the ELECTRICAL PLUG of your COMPUTER into the wall OUTLET and outside to the street, then to the wooden electric utility POLES, SUBSTATIONs, TRANSMISSION TOWERs, and POWER PLANTs ordering the landscape from China to South America, Africa to the United States, Russia to Europe, and India to the Middle East. From city to suburb, from farm to mobile-home lot, this ELECTRICAL substructure reaches most everywhere on EARTH.
As a connective structure beneath our everyday experience, the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE is the basic scaffolding for ELECTRICAL organization. In so doing, it supports and joins our ELECTRICAL ARTIFACTS together in a local and global ASSEMBLAGE that ultimately constitutes and physically represents the ELECTRICAL STATE. (1n) In its NATURAL STATE, our NERVOUS SYSTEM can be considered as an ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE, a sub-structure connecting and organizing the SENSES with the BRAIN of HOMO ELECTRUS, enabling supra-structural motive POWER and mediated CONSCIOUSNESS with sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. (1.1n) In its ARTIFICIAL STATE, which we explore herein, the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE defines the common supportive framework for uniting the systems of ELECTRICAL POWER, MEDIA, and TECHNOLOGY in one structural interrelationship. For example, everything which is an ELECTRICAL ARTIFACT, such as an electric watch or lightbulb, is a part of this larger (seemingly subconscious) sub-structural system consisting of all watches and lightbulbs. It is the total collection of all of these ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLAGEs into one common framework that defines the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE. In turn, this sub-structure is foundational to the other primary "infrastructures," including those of energy, communications, and transportation systems where ELECTRICITY is utilized. Examples include oil well pumps, printing presses, and computerized cars. By examining the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE, we will reveal a systematic order and control in our everyday environment, which often goes unnoticed and unacknowledged. (2n) In exploring this structural subsystem, we can better understand how the ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE creates and fulfills our basic human needs. And, by seeing the vast and "previously hidden and invisible" areas of continuous congruity within the whole system of ELECTRICAL organization, we can better understand the foundations of the ELECTRICAL CIVILIZATION we live within today.
